Overview

We are excited to welcome members to Buffalo for the 48th Annual NYSOBBA conference! We are excited to share an engaging lineup of speakers and timely topics for this year’s conference, including our keynote speaker, Ryan McPherson, Chief Sustainability Officer at the University at Buffalo. The program will also feature updates from Lisa Simpson at HESC, a Washington Update from Bryan Dickson at NACUBO, and a session on Artificial Intelligence led by Dave Ghidiu from Finger Lakes Community College.  The NYSOBBA conference covers the many policy, technical, and management issues impacting student financial services operations on campus.

 NYSOBBA Scholarship Basket Auction

Help us, help as many college-bound students as possible!

Support NYSOBBA’s Annual Basket Auction held in Buffalo, New York.

All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund. We encourage all members, schools, and vendors to donate.

If you do not have time to make a basket, but would still like to help, please consider donating.

   The suggested value of each basket is $25 to $100.

 Tickets will be on sale during the conference. Basket winners will be announced at the Banquet dinner Tuesday evening. More details will be provided during the conference.

Individuals are allowed to win up to a maximum of two baskets.

 Justify your Trip

The conference committee believes the value of attending the conference is self-evident, but just in case you need some help justifying it to your institution, we've created a sample letter for you.  Download Letter here.


Refund Policy

In 2026, we will be switching our conference App to Sched! This is an easy way for attendees to have all of the agenda, session and attendee information at their fingertips! There will not be any paper copies of session presentations or handouts at the event. Two weeks before the conference, you will be provided with access to the conference app, to connect with fellow attendees, review presentations and download session handouts! Access to the conference app will be available for 3 months after the event.

Dress Code Business casual dress is suggested for all events.

Refunds - Requests for refunds will be honored only if notification of cancellation is received in writing (email) on or before June 1, 2026. Cancellation by telephone is not sufficient. Registrants who fail to cancel will not be refunded their registration fee. No refund will be honored after June 1, 2026. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
